Oska Deskmate – Cute Koala On Your Desktop
Oska Deskmate is a small, free application developed by Oska Software. Why would you want to get this application, besides the fact that it is offered free of charge? You would want to get it if you want to see a cute koala bear on your desktop.
That is what the Oska Deskmate application does; after you download and install it on your Windows-powered PC, it will display a cute koala do several things.
The koala will:
- Jump up and down.
- Juggle some balls.
- Run on a treadmill
- Snowboard.
- Box.
- Sit in a boat and row.
- Walk around dressed as a wizard.
- Dressed in a robe, play with a green lightsaber.
- And do several other things.
The images of the koala jumping and juggling and doing other things are accompanied by sound effects. If the sound effects become bothersome after a while, there is something you can do about it. From the application’s Settings menu, the Sound Effects submenu, you can select the “None” option and you won’t hear anything. You can access the Settings menu by double clicking the Oska Deskmate system tray icon.
Please note that Oska Deskmate is only free to try. This will become obvious after you download and install the deskmate, when you notice the floating window asking you to purchase the full version and when the koala asks you to unlock it by double clicking it and then clicking Get more.
If you would like to see another amusing animal on your desktop, you can check out the Oska Software-developed TeeCee Deskmate. This application displays a blue ape on your monitor, ape that dances, skates, rides an ostrich, and does several other things.
